3.) In what ways do you think you could do this for a living, and in which ways do you think you'd struggle?
Personally I could not do this as a living. I am not at communicating with other people, and i dont have the right grades to become one. If i were to become one i would struggle in the communicating part of it.
• What does it take to be a good defense attorney? It takes a lot of knowledge, common sense and always being skeptical, specifically in the defense attorney’s case. It takes successful methods and different strategies from years of experience.

One needs to have an open mind about every possible situation or scenario that could have happened in the case they are trying to defend. A defense attorney’s skills should consist of being able to speak aloud and communicate with others without a problem, be able to listen and have full attention on a speaker related to that attorneys case so the attorney can accumulate different questions they might have or pull their evidence together.
• In what ways do you think you could do this for a living, and in which ways do you think you'd struggle? Since I am very interested in conflict and finding out the truth, being a defense attorney could be a very interesting position for me. The many different clients I would have could help me with my social, and communication skills. I would struggle in the parts of that field that would require critical thinking and judgment decisions. It would put a lot of stress on me because of my lack of knowledge of knowing the truth.
1. What does it take to be a good defense attorney?
ReplyDeleteYou need to make sure that you have a full understanding of the case before trying to present it to the court. You also need to make sure that you're abiding by the judges rules while in his/her court. Making sure that all you're information is accurate, that you're not leaving anything out, or trying to make some detail look more or less.
2. What skills, qualities, and personality features do you need to be good at Deirdre's job?
You need to be assertive, but not pushy or rude. You need to compassionate, but not overly so. You obviously need to have the qualifications to be a lawyer. Also a good record of case wins also looks very well when people are chasing you as a lawyer.
3. In what ways do you think you could do this for a living, and in which ways do you think you'd struggle?
I don't know if I could be a lawyer. I quick to make my decision and would probably argue to the point of being rude and mean. I'm not sure if I would be able to handle witnesses delicately if they weren't children...
